Terms of Service

By connecting a wallet or playing MAYHEM ("the Game"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

These terms apply to the website, the matchmaking server, and the on-chain smart contracts that make up MAYHEM.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to play.

You are responsible for ensuring that staking $MAYHEM tokens in skill-based competition is legal where you live. The Game is not available to anyone in a jurisdiction where skill-based competitions or crypto gaming are prohibited.

MAYHEM is non-custodial. We never hold, control, or have access to your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet funds. You alone are responsible for securing your wallet.

All deposits, stakes, and payouts are executed by audited on-chain smart contracts. Once a match begins, the staked tokens are locked in escrow until the contract resolves the result.

A match is a best-of-three contest. Both players stake an equal amount of $MAYHEM into escrow before the match begins.

The winner receives the pot minus the house fee. The house fee is 5% of the total pot, split as 2% to community prize pools (weekly and seasonal player rewards), 2% to operations, and a 1% burn that permanently removes $MAYHEM from circulation. Results are computed by the server and settled on-chain; the client only submits card picks.

Once both players have staked and the match is active, you cannot cancel or withdraw. Leaving or refreshing during a live match forfeits the match and your stake.

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, automation, or any tool that interacts with the Game on your behalf.
• Exploit bugs, manipulate the matchmaking queue, or tamper with network traffic to gain an advantage.
• Collude with another player to influence the outcome of a match.
• Attempt to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the servers or smart contracts.

We may suspend access for any account or wallet we reasonably believe is violating these rules.

Crypto assets are volatile and staking them carries financial risk. You may lose your entire stake. Only play with funds you can afford to lose.

Blockchain transactions are irreversible. We cannot reverse a transaction, refund a stake, or recover funds sent to the wrong address.

Nothing in the Game is financial, investment, or legal advice.

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAYHEM and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of funds, arising from your use of the Game, smart contract behavior, network failures, or third-party services.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Game after a change means you accept the revised terms.
